It seems that today is something normal, but not so long ago couldn’t zoom into instagram photos. If you wanted to enlarge the image you had to take a screenshot and zoom in on it, which implied a quite significant loss in terms of quality. Today it is something that exists natively in the app, although, unfortunately, only in the photos of the timeline. Stories, for now, cannot be expanded. Or if. In this article we are going to teach you how to zoom in on Instagram stories.
You will not need any third-party application, or root access or anything like that. You can do it directly from the settings of your mobile. In case you have any doubts, no, it will not notify the user that you have taken a screenshot –because you are not doing it, basically–. Is the idea cool to you? Well, let’s go to trouble.
How to zoom in on Instagram Stories
To be able to zoom in on Instagram Stories you must go to Settings> Accessibility> Vision and, there, activate the option “Magnification”. This function is aimed at allowing older people to expand the entire Android interface to better see small text, but it can be used for any purpose. When you activate it, all you have to do is press three times in a row on the screen. You will see that the entire interface is expanded and, at least for me on my Galaxy S7 edge, an orange box appears indicating that the magnification mode is activated.
Now you just have to go to Instagram, click on the icons of the stories and tap three times on the screen when you see an image or video that you want to enlarge. If you want to zoom in more you can pinch in or out without any problem, as if it were an image from the gallery. To move around the image, hold down the screen with two fingers and slide. To exit magnification mode, simply tap another three times or hit the back button.
Another trick is to press three times and keep your finger on the screen. That way you can navigate the image and when you lift your finger it will return to its natural size.
Go ahead that you can suffer a little lag if your phone is not too powerful, but nothing that prevents you from using the application correctly. As you see, it’s a very simple trick that can help you see all the details of the photos that your friends and contacts upload to Instagram. Now to put it into practice!
