Yu-Gi-Oh !: Master Duel will be the game that the saga deserves.
Even if Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is one of the most successful mobile games of Konami, many fans of the popular card franchise have complained for years that does not the classic dynamics of a Yu-Gi-Oh! game..
Perhaps that is why Konami has encouraged once and for all to replicate the experience with physical cards on our screens: there will be new Yu-Gi-Oh! And this time it will be a real duel.
Konami announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel for PC, consoles and mobiles
According to Konami in a video uploaded to the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is in development right now. Without a final release date yet, the game will be released for all platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X, Nintendo Switch and finally, iOS and Android.
As with the recent Magic: The Gathering Arena, Konami’s goal with Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is bringing the original card game to a mass audience. For this reason, the title will include abundant tutorials for both novice and advanced players.
As you can see in the game’s announcement video, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will offer a game experience identical to the real game partly because they to the letter the Yu-Gi-Oh! official card rules. Otherwise, they have been added animations and sound effects to energize the game and emulate the effects of the cards.
Also, it will be the first Yu-Gi-Oh! to include 4K resolution, something especially valuable for those who play on a big screen.
Finally, beyond the Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, Konami has spoken of another game from the same franchise he’s also working on. It’s about Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel, which will come out for mobile devices only. As with Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, there is also no release date for this title so it will be time to dust off the deck and wait.
