The new safer Android that Google recommends to use for companies

At the beginning of the year, Google began a new program called Android Enterprise Recommended, through which companies and professionals would have at their disposal a list of the safest Android smartphones and tablets according to the criteria of the .

Now, several months later since this show came true, Google has updated the list of devices with new members of brands such as Huawei, Nokia or Sony, as well as lesser known firms such as Sonim, all of them manually selected by Google after meeting a series of requirements, which make them the perfect phones to be used by companies and their employees.

To the Google Pixel and Pixel 2, BlackBerry KEYOne, Huawei Mate 10 or other terminals that already formed the list, today we have to welcome a number of new phones, which have burst onto the mobile landscape in recent months, and according to Google are ideal for use by company employees.

The new mobiles within the Android Enterprise Recommended program are the following:

  • Sony Xperia XZ2
  • Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact
  • Motorola Moto G6
  • Motorola Moto G6 Plus
  • Motorola Moto Z3 Play
  • Huawei P20
  • Huawei P20 Pro
  • BlackBerry KEY2
  • Nokia 3.1
  • Nokia 5.1
  • Nokia 6.1
  • Nokia 7 Plus
  • Nokia 8 Sirocco
  • Sharp AQUOS SH 10-K
  • Sonim XP8

Beyond the new phones, Google has also selected the first two recommended tablets for companies.

Both are from Huawei, and are the following models:

  • Huawei M5 8.4
  • Huawei M5 10.8

As we discussed at the time, to be part of this program, manufacturers should ensure frequent updates including monthly security patches, in addition to having an original Android version higher than 7.0 Nougat and being able to be purchased in an unlocked way through the main providers.

Thanks to the inclusion of these terminals, there are already 39 different devices from up to 9 manufacturers, which Google recommends purchasing from companies.
