The Google Nexus 6P finally receives the update by OTA of Android 7.0 Nougat

Although for several weeks now Android 7.0 Nougat is among us, some devices have not yet received this update via OTA. One of them, the Nexus 6P, Googe’s current top of the range before the arrival of the new Pixels on October 4, has finally received the long-awaited update today.

Just as we could read on HDBlog, this update, which although it was already available to be downloaded and installed manually, is beginning its expansion this week, to reach all Google Nexus 6P devices around the world.

If you have a Nexus 6P, you can now install Android 7.0 via OTA

This update arrives, as we said, via OTA and has a weight of 1.17 GB, since it has a huge amount – up to 35,000 – of new features included in Android Nougat, which we could see at the time, and among which we highlight the following.

  • Multi-window mode.
  • New quick settings in the notification bar.
  • September security patch.
  • Improvements in DOZE to optimize autonomy.
  • Quick responses to notifications.
  • Vulkan API for video games.

Without a doubt, and taking into account that we found endless more improvements and new options, this is one of the most important updates in the Huawei Nexus 6P life, and that will allow users of this device to enjoy the latest version of Android once and for all.

Therefore, if you are a Nexus 6P user, and you have not yet received the update on your terminal, it should be a matter of time before the expected OTA notification jumps from one moment to another. If not, remember that you can also install Android 7.0 Nougat on your Nexus manually thanks to the factory images that Google makes available to us, and whose process we help you carry out from so that you can enjoy nougat before anyone else.
