WhatsApp has started the summer of 2019 rising as the most downloaded app on the planet, closely followed by others such as Messenger and TikTok.

How to mute the WhatsApp statuses of a contact
WhatsApp works constantly in the States to find improvements that improve its operation, such as the arrival of an algorithm that orders them according to their relevance and not their chronology.

As we have talked about previously, There are contacts that do not interest you, so you prefer not to see their publications at the top from the recent section.
On these occasions, the best option is to silence them and thus make them relegated to “Silenced” at the bottom of the screen.
To carry out this procedure, you just have to press and hold the state you want to silence for a few seconds.
By doing so, WhatsApp will ask you directly if you want to mute that person’s statuses. Click on the option “Mute” and the process will be over.
As you can see in the last screenshot, from that moment on the contact statuses will appear in the “Silenced” section, below all recent statuses.
If that person updates content again, you won’t see the dot notification that usually appears on the Statuses tab.
In the event that you have made a mistake when silencing the statuses of a contact or you are already tired of its null appearance in recent, you have the possibility to deactivate the silence.
For it, remains pressed in the contact muted state and selects “Deactivate silence”.
In this way, each update will reappear at the top of the status list and you will receive the notification again.
