MIUI 13 will give your Xiaomi up to an additional 3GB of RAM

This new functionality will use the internal storage of the device to expand the RAM memory of the same.

We recently informed you of the first tracks of the new version of Xiaomi's customization layer, MIUI 13, which could reach a large number of devices next month.

Now, thanks to the guys from Gizmochina, We can now confirm more details about the newest feature of MIUI 13: RAM expansion. Thus, this new functionality will allow us to have up to an additional 3GB of RAM on our Xiaomi smartphone.

According to the medium consulted, the RAM memory expansion function that will arrive with MIUI 13 will be similar to virtual RAM functionality, of which we already explained what it is and how it works, that we have seen on OPPO and vivo smartphones.

This new feature will allow any Xiaomi terminal to get Additional 3 GB of RAM, which will be added to the standard RAM of the smartphone. For it, will use the device's internal storage as RAM while this function is activated.

According to the Chinese manufacturer itself, this new function will improve the user experience of those Xiaomi smartphones that have a more limited amount of RAM.

In addition to this new feature, MIUI 13 will include a revamped user interface with new animations and fonts, new app icons and wallpapers and a floating window for games, similar to the one we already have available in applications such as YouTube or Netflix.
