It seems that 2021 will finally be the year of Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal could arrive this same 2021.

A long time ago, mobile video games stopped being something to kill time in the doctor’s waiting room or while waiting for the bus because today smartphones are one of the most profitable platforms in some countries.

Companies like Nintendo or Square Enix have realized this and some of their most important franchises such as Mario or Final Fantasy can already be enjoyed on both Android and iOS.

Another of the companies that saw the importance of the mobile video game market was Blizzard, which announced more than two years ago a new game from its popular Diablo franchise, news that by the way was not to the liking of everyone.

But let’s get to the important thing, When are we going to be able to enjoy Diablo Immortal on our smartphone screens? Well, it seems that 2021 will be the chosen year.

Diablo Immortal could be released throughout 2021

2021 could be a great year to enjoy Diablo Immortal

Although there are currently many interesting mobile games, there is no doubt that Diablo Immortal is one of the most anticipated.

Announced a couple of years ago, the first sensations were not very good. The most die-hard Diablo fans didn’t want a free mobile game with microtransactions, but a new installment of Diablo for computers and desktop consolesDespite this, we will not deny that the game continues to “hype” the majority of fans of the franchise who will not hesitate for a single minute to install it on their smartphones.

And when will this be? As we read in Android Police, Blizzard has announced an alpha version for players in Australiaas long as they have an Android device.

This version, which will only be available for a time and in a limited way, leaves us a few things clear. Diablo Immortal will be free but will include purchases as well as a battle pass. It also has its own story and a dungeon system where you can face demons, creatures and powerful bosses together with other players. According to the developers, these dungeons will last 10-15 minutes, a time that we consider more than enough considering that it is a mobile game.

Lead Designer Wyatt Cheng has told in a lengthy 7 minute video that all additional content for Diablo Immortal will be free. Also unlike other free games, there will not be an energy system so we can play as long as we want. Chen adds that paying in Diablo Immortal will be optional and not a necessity.

Going into other details, in this alpha you can choose between four different characters: a wizard, a monk, a barbarian and a demon hunter, classes that regular Diablo players will instantly identify. According to some users who have been able to test the first versions of this Diablo Immortal, the gameplay is very successful for a mobile game although it is still somewhat slower compared to Diablo III although obviously we are in an alpha and the game will change a lot until its official launch.

And we wonder, What technical specifications will my Android smartphone need to run this Diablo Immortal?

  • CPU: Snapdragon 710 / Hisilicon Kirin 810 and above
  • GPU: Adreno 616 / ARM Mali-G52 and above
  • RAM: 2 GB RAM and more
  • Version: Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) and above

Everything seems to indicate that the development of Diablo Immortal is more than advanced and that 2021 will be a good year for its official launch. At the moment we do not have a definitive date but if you can’t stand it, You can always register on Google Play to be the first to know.
