Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition comes to Android: download it now on Google Play

At the end of last January we already warned you that the arrival of Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition for Android it was imminent. After a few months of waiting, with a pre-registration period in between, Square Enix has finally made official the landing of its latest mobile title, which can be downloaded for free on Google Play from today.

As we anticipated you at the time, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is a variant of the popular game that will follow a story divided into ten different chapters. And after a brief period of exclusivity on iOS, these ten chapters are now at our complete disposal … as long as you're willing to pay what they ask for them.

This is Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition for Android

The folks at Square Enix promised us, at the time, that the Pocket Edition version of his famous game would not be much different from the original title, beyond a graphic section optimized for use on mobile phones – even so, the game is not exactly light. Of course, many doubted whether the developer company would be able to carry out such a feat, and offer an experience on mobile devices.

But, fortunately, this game eliminates all doubts, and shows how the company has focused its efforts on creating a game that, except for its graphics, has little to envy the original edition.

In addition to follow the same story from Final Fantasy XV, we meet again with an open world … although with a trick. While it is true that the player may move freely, there are certain limits that, yes, will not negatively affect our desire to explore every corner of the extensive map. Nor are we going to miss the battles in real time, as well as the possibility of interacting with all the different characters that will appear at the points on the map.

As I said at the beginning, Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition can be downloaded for free, and allows us to play the first chapter without having to go through the box. However, if we want to continue and play the remaining nine chapters, we will have to pay 1.09 euros for chapters 2 and 3, and 4.09 euros for the rest. On the other hand, a game of this caliber, not surprisingly, will not work perfectly on all Android devices on the planet. Luckily, the creators provide us with a list of recommended requirements:

  • Operating system: Android 5.0 or later
  • CPU: 1.5 GHz or higher
  • RAM: 2GB or higher
  • Memory: 5GB or higher (high resolution version requires 8GB or more)
