Epic Games launches a monthly subscription for Fortnite and is more expensive than Netflix

Buying the monthly subscription is optional and the game will remain free.

Epic Games has unveiled its new subscription service for Fortnite, “Fortnite Crew” that will be officially released on December 2 next to the arrival of season 5. This will have a monthly cost of 11.99 euros and with it, subscribers will receive a series of exclusive benefits.

Thus, those who choose to contract the subscription will receive as a great reward the full battle pass for each season. Additionally, it will also be delivered to those who religiously pay the fee, 1,000 V-Bucks (the game currency), skins that cannot be purchased in the store nor receive in any other way and different rewards packs.

Rest assured: Fortnite will remain free

Club Fortnite is the new monthly subscription of the popular game from Epic Games.

The fact that Epic has decided to include a monthly subscription, it doesn’t mean that Fortnite is no longer free. The game can be enjoyed on equal terms for free, the only thing is that the extra additions mentioned above will not be obtained, as was already the case among players who had decided to buy the battle pass and those who did not.

The monthly subscription can obtained directly from the in-game store and cancel it at any time. Likewise, Epic has also reported that those users who have already purchased the battle pass and decide to join the Fortnite Crew will receive a 950 V-Bucks refund to your account, which is the amount paid for it.

Let’s remember that Fortnite is one of the most popular games on all platforms and that has crossplay, so you can get the most out of it both on PC or video consoles, such as smartphones.

Fortnite Crew will make its appearance on December 2 coinciding with the launch of the fifth season of chapter 2 of Fortnite.
