As you will remember, a few days ago Google presented us with a renewed Chromebook Pixel, a powerful device with Chrome OS that can be found in different configurations with the Intel Core i5 or Core i7, and varying amounts of RAM and SSD storage.
The news today is that the Acer firm, one of the strongest betting on Chrome OS, will respond to Mountain View with another model.
This is the Acer Chromebook 15, which had already been announced in the past CES 2015, but which has undergone slight improvements in these couple of months.
So, will mount the Intel Core i5-5200U processor with Broadwell microarchitecture at 2.2 GH, accompanied by an Intel HD 5500 graphics, and supported by 4 GB of RAM.
The storage will be 32 GB SSD.
Although certain stores have it listed with a screen with HD resolution, although it seems that will finally arrive with a 1920 x 1080 pixel panel.
Of course, we hope this is the case, since its diagonal of 15.6 inch, and our eyes will appreciate it. The rest of the information that is known so far confirms that it will arrive with 802.11ac Wi-F, and several USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, so it will not incorporate the new USB Type-C that the Chromebook Pixel does equip, and also Apple's new MacBook.
As for its price, it will also be considerably lower than those of these two Chromebooks, as it would not exceed 500 US dollars, that is, about 470 euros at exchange.
These new computers are gaining prominence, and more and more users are interested in them. We have already told you about our experience with Chrome OS, so now it is in your hands to decide whether or not they are worth it.
